Golden Eaglets forward Light Eke has tipped his side to go far in the coming CAF U17 African Cup of Nations.

The Eaglets have won two Cup of Nations titles, and are gunning for both the FIFA U17 World Cup ticket and the AFCON title.

“Based on our preparation I know that we are very ready for this tournament and in our group, we have opponents that we know and are very good,” the Forward said.

“But like I said based on our preparation we came here knowing that we are going to win the trophy and also qualify for the World Cup.

“So all we are going to do is play according to the coach’s instructions and give our best throughout the tournament.”

The team will square up against Zambia, South Africa and Morocco in the Group phase.​
