Samuel Chukwueze has described national teammate Victor Osimhen as ‘Complete striker with an eye for goals’ ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League Group H with Spanish side Valencia.
Chukwueze and Osimhen had been representing Nigeria right from their U-17 days , with the pair winning the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup together.
Both players are also part of the Super Eagles squad that won the Bronze medal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, as they continued their development.
However while Chuckwueze is currently on the book of Spanish La liga side Villarreal, Osimhen is making waves for his new French side Lille Metropole who are set to take on Spanish side Valencia in UEFA Champions league on Wednesday.
Chuckwueze believes his international teammate who has scored seven goals and recorded two assists in 10 league game for Christophe Galtier’s men will be a handful for Valencia at the Stade Pierre Mauroy on Wednesday.
“He is a great player, he has a lot of speed and [eye for] goal, he reads [the opposition] very well. He is a very complete forward,” Chukwueze told Spanish online news outlet, Superdeporte.es.
Osimhen scored his maiden UEFA Champions league goal in Lille’s 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea in match-day two .
