Milan will face Napoli in Italian Serie A Super Sunday fixture at the Diego Maradona’s stadium and there are strong indication they might be without captain Romagnoli for the game.
Milan News are reporting that Romagnoli picked up injury in training session today at Milanello and he will be examined in the coming daysand if he will be able to recover for Sunday night’s match in Naples.
However, Pierre Kalulu is said to be waiting in the wings to step up if Romagnoli cannot make it and he has always done well when called upon.
Milan News suggested, the game is a perfect opportunity for Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori to prove their maturity when they come face to face with Napoli’s danger man Victor Osimhen.
The Milan based news outlet added that, Osimhen is one of the best attackers in the Calcio and they suggested, it’s a perfect platform for Kalulu to show the club how good he’s.
Kalulu is into the final year of his contract with Milan and agreement hasn’t been reached over an extention, but an impressive outing against Osimhen could fast track things.
Milan are said to be willing to offer him two year deal, but Kalulu want a deal that’ll keep him in Milan until 2026, with improve pay.
In another publication by Turin based Tuttosport, The young Frenchman, Kalulu is also said a to be the ideal candidate to partner Tomori for the match.
Kalulu, not highly experienced, but has always responded positively when Stephano Pioli called him into action.
