Aruna Quadri bow out of World Table Tennis Championships

Quadri Aruna’s run at the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships has come to an end, following a defeat to  Sweden’s Truls Moregard in the quarter final.

The Nigerian star suffered a 4-2 defeat in the hands of the Swedish opponent to kiss the competition goodbye.

The Nigerian did however had a good outing in the competition as he is the last African left in the competition.

Quadri also better broke his record in the competition as he became first African to play in the quarter final of the competition.

The 13th lost the first two set 13-11 and 11-8, before taking the 2-11. Truls Moregard, regained his lead with 11-4, but Quadri responded by taking the fifth set 14-11.

The European then sealed his passage into the last four with 11-7 victory in the final set.
