Hours before Nigeria open their campaign in the FIFA 2018 World Cup, Ahmed Musa has sent a farewell message to CSKA Moscow following the official completion of his six-month loan deal from Leicester City.
Musa is expected to be available for selection in Nigeria’s opener against Croatia in Kaliningrad, but the forward is drawing attention from the capital club where he won three league titles in his early years.
The Nigeria international penned an emotional farewell message to CSKA Moscow; confirming his return to England with the Foxes.
The Russian club tweeted the player’s message on Saturday.
It read:
Thanks a lot for making the club a fun place to be. Your contributions to my success in football will forever remain in my heart.
Many thanks for your support, guidance, and encouragement. I enjoyed working with you. Will not forget to say a big thank you to the coaches, my team mates the management and the fans.[sic]
CSKA will always be in my heart [sic]
