Akpeyi staying put in PSL

Super Eagles shot stopper Daniel Akpeyi has concluded a deal to join Premier Soccer League Side Sekhukhune United.

The veteran goalkeeper signed for Sekhukhune United on Saturday, ending his two-month stay without a team.

Akpeyi, 36, became a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Kaizer Chiefs.

According to reports, the former Warri Wolves player penned a one-year deal with the option of another year.

Sekhukhune United is Akpeyi’s third team since moving to South Africa from NPFL side Warri Wolves.

He played for Chippa United before signing for Kaizer Chiefs in 2019.

Sekhukhune United are currently placed 14th on Premier Soccer League table.
