Anthony Joshua became the unified heavyweight world champion by adding the WBA belt to his IBF title with an 11th-round stoppage of Wladimir Klitschko.
The 27-year-old Briton was knocked down in the sixth round but showed determination to bounce back and twice had Klitschko on the canvas in the penultimate round before the referee stepped in.

In perhaps the biggest heavyweight fight since Lennox Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson to retain the world title in 2002, titleholder Anthony Joshua, the young British star, and Ukraine’s Wladimir Klitschko, the regal former longtime world champion and future Hall of Famer, clashed in a once-in-a-generation showdown on Saturday.
