Argentina Fans on Sunday hit the streets to celebrate an epic World Cup final in which the national team beat France on penalties.
It is Argentina’s third World Cup title, and the first since Diego Maradona led them to the title in 1986, Mexico.
The South American Country won its first title in 1978, and added the second in 1986, but lost finals in 1930, 1990 and 2014.
Against France on Sunday, Argentina led 2-0 at half time and were cruising to victory, before Kylian Mbappe pegged them back with a brace in the final ten minutes.
The score ended 3-3 after extra time, before the Albiceleste won 4-2 on penalties.
Super Eagles boss Jose Peseiro was in the stands for the final, and praised Lionel Scaloni’s side.
“Congratulations Argentina on winning your third World Cup. It was an exciting game, what an incredible match! You deserve every minute of this title, well done,” Peseiro tweeted.
The title wrapped up a wonderful two years for Argentina, winning the Copa America and the Finalisima.
