Super Eagles duo of Joshua Maja and Samuel Kalu were impressive for their Ligue 1 club Bordeaux in a French Coupe De La Ligue victory over Dijon on Tuesday.
The duo failed to save their Club from defeat last weekend when they crase at Lille 3-0 , but had to dig deep to return to winning ways on Tuesday at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique.
With just eight minutes Maja latched on superb cross from Samuel set up to open the scoring for his side, before Nicolas De Preville wrapped up the win.
Both players missed Nigeria’s friendly with Brazil , but with Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr expected to name his squad for November’s 2021 African Cup od Nations qualifiers
The pair will be hoping their recent to form will earn them a call up into the national team for the upcoming 2021 Afcon qualifiers.
