Chelsea continued their fine form against Premier League defending champions at the Bridge as they defeated Manchester City 2-0 on Saturday and also halted Pep Guardiola’s unbeaten run in the league this season.
The Blues have not lost to a defending champion in the premier league at the bridge for over a decade.
Saturday’s victory courtesy goals from N’golo Kante (45′) and David Luiz (78′) was also the first time Manchester City have lost since 7th April 2018, when they were defeated 3-2 at home to city rivals Manchester United.
The win also ended Maurizio Sarri’s three game losing streak against Pep Guardiola and it was the third time the Spaniard had lost as City Manager to Chelsea.
