Former Super Eagles CB Sam Sodje says there is a goalkeeping crisis in the team and it needs urgent attention.

Sodje insists the recent performances by the Super Eagles goalkeepers have been below par and should be a cause for concern.

The most recent after Francis Uzoho’s unfortunate incident in the second-leg Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier against Ghana, Maduka Okoye committed a howler in the test game against Algeria’s B team last week.

Sodje, speaking in a chat with www.brila.net, stressed that the Super Eagles used to have good goalkeepers and it’s worrisome that the position is now the team’s weakness, “with errors upon errors coming out.”
