Francisca Ordega and Washington Spirits are not giving up just yet in their bid to secure a playoff spot and made that statement with a 1-0 win against Sky Blue in the National Women Soccer League [NSWL].
Ordega was on the pitch for 85 minutes and was booked – her second yellow of the season, in her 9th league appearance.
She also fell short on adding to her 3 league goals so far.

Nonetheless, the striker was a thorn in the side of Sky Blue going close on occasions and switching roles into a number 10.
Ordega has been consistent this season for the NWSL since returning from her loan spell to Atletico Madrid Ladies.
The Nigeria international, who is expected to join the Super Falcons camp later this month, has scored three league goals this season, but Spirit are currently eighth in the table.
