Goalkeeper headache for Rohr as Afelokhai saves Musa’s penalty in Eagles training

Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr has been placed under immense confusion following the form of the three goalkeepers in camp ahead of the crucial South Africa clash.

Rohr was expected to name Enyimba’s Ikechukwu Ezenwa as Number One being the deputy to injured Francis Uzoho but the form of the three goalkeepers has thrown the German tactician into confusion.

Uzoho is absent due to injury and in his absence, the trio of Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, and Theophilus Afelokhai are pushing to man goal against South Africa in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Former FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s Number one, Ezenwa has been in top form alongside Chippa United’s Shot-stopper, Daniel Akpeyi, who is said to be the most in-form of the three Goalkeepers.

Newly invited Goalkeeper, Theo Afelokhai has also shown some qualities to justify his call-up into the National team after making some fine saves in training, capping it up by saving Captain Ahmed Musa’s spot kick.
