Kano Pillars media officer Idris Malikawa has confirmed the resignation of coach Kadiri Ikhana from the Kano based side on medical ground.
Ikhana’s resignation was recieved by the club Sunday evening after Pillars’ 3-1 defeat to Rangers in Enugu although he wasn’t on the bench for the encounter. Malikawa said the club will make a decision on the vacant position of head coach before the week runs out.
The board in a release signed by its media officer, Malikawa Idris Rilwanu said though they got the information through press interview granted the media late Sunday night, but thanked the former Technical Adviser Kadiri Ikhana MON for his contributions to the club.
Malikawa said Kadiri was not in Enugu for the match against Rangers FC but after the match he communicated with some journalits and club officials from his base in Abeokuta Ogun state to announced his resignation as technical adviser of sai masu gida from today sunday 23/4/2017.
“The management of Kano Pillars FC accepted his resignation in good fate and wish him full recovery for the sickness which he said was the reason he quit his job,” Malikawa said.

On the issue of the possible replacement, Malikawa said that will be decided within the week.
He said the players have been given a five day mid season break.
He urged the fans of the club to be patience with the board as it was doing everything humanly possible to see that the club status is revive in the second stanza.
