Kelechi Iheanacho scored the first goal as Leicester City defeated Wolves 2-1 to climb out of the relegation zone and grab their first win in 10 games.

Things did not go according to plan for Leicester after Matheus Cunha scored in the opening 13 minutes to give Wolves the lead.

Dean Smith went with an all-attacking setup, handing starting berths to Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Wolves struggled to cope with the attacking pressure and Jose Sa gave away a penalty. Iheanacho stepped up and coolly dispatched the penalty to level the score line.

Wilfred Ndidi was introduced in the 67th minute and added steel to the midfield.

Timothy Castagne scored the winning goal for the hosts, Iheanacho was a menace all through and worked well with Daka and Tete to keep Wolves defense on the back foot for the majority of the game.

Thanks to the win Leicester are now 17th with 28 points and will next face faltering Leeds to stay on course in their resurgence.
