John Ogu and Anthony Nwakaeme’s Hapoel Be’er Sheva will contend for a hat-trick of League titles and the added perk of a UEFA Champions League ticket.
The current champions wrapped up the regular season of the Israel Ligat ha’Al with a 2-0 win against Bnei Sakhnin on Saturday.
Ogu played all 90 minutes while Nwakaeme was sidelined as he continues to recover from injury.
Last season, the Nigeria duo were instrumental to the club’s league title triumph and Ogu is super charged for another challenge this season.
Be’er Sheva topped the table with four points heading into the playoffs and Ogu expressed his anticipation of the next phase of the season.
The 29-year-old tweeted: Great way to end the regular season with a win. Time to focus on the playoffs coming up
