Kelechi Ihenacho could be back in Leicester City’s squad for the trip to Newcastle United on Monday.
The Nigerian hasn’t been involved since injuring his muscle during the 1-1 at Leeds United three weeks ago.
The 26-year-old former Manchester City forward missed three games, which Leicester City failed to win.
According to Leicestershirelive, the 26-year-old has been “put on fast forward” to get him fit for the fate-deciding game at Newcastle. Iheanacho has responded well to treatment and has recovered quickly, but not yet 100 percent.
It was feared that he might never return to action again this season, but Dean Smith needs all key players available ahead of Monday’s trip to Newcastle. Why do they push for early recovery ahead of time?
