Former England striker Andy Cole believes Victor Osimhen is a long time fit for his former Club Manchester United.

Cole, who won treble with the Red Devils in 1999, faulted the decision to sign Wout Weghorst from Burnley with Victor Osimhen available.

“I think Victor Osimhen at Napoli is very good and could be the long-term natural fit,” Andy Cole said.

“The question is whether Napoli would be prepared to let him go. He’s rangy, got a good first touch, scores goals and is a decent size as well.

“I watched him play against Liverpool and he was more than prepared to link the play and then run in behind.”

Osimhen has often been linked with Manchester United, but nothing concrete has happened.

Some reports from Naples also indicated that the club will only listen to offer in the region of €150m for the 24 year-old Nigerian.

Osimhen is enjoying his best run for Napoli since the start of the season, netting 13 goals in 18 appearances for Napoli.
