Multiple home based players invitation to Falcons is a testimony to the NWPL – Ikechukwu

Rivers Angels and Super Falcons new invitee Vivian Ikechukwu had stated that the invitation of as many as 10 players to the camp of the senior women national team Super Falcons ahead of next month’s invitational tour is a testament to the growing Nigeria women Premier league.

Ikechukwu who got picked from Rivers Angels expressed delight and surprise after been invited by the Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum stressing that she didn’t think she was the best player in the Super 6 from her team but glad to have given something the coaching crew found worthwhile to have been invited.

“When I saw my name I was amazed because I’m not the only player that played well in that Super 6 but this is best known to the coaching crew of the national team. I appreciate it as the only one and I was amazed about it. Since I am the only one here, I’m so thankful and motivated as well. It’s a good development for the home-based and I have to commend Aisha Falode’s board, it shows that our league is improving. “
