The duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Ihenacho were on duty for Leicester City during Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Newport on Tuesday.
While Wilfred Ndidi featured from start and was replaced in the 74th minute, Kelechi Iheanacho came on in the second half of the encounter at the King Power Stadium.
Ndidi and Iheanacho’s position has looked rocky at times this season after Leicester made their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.
The Super Eagles however stars gave good account of themselves and helped the Foxes to a 3-0 victory.
James Justin put Leicester in front on the stroke of half, with Jamie Vardy making the game safe with a second-half brace (70th, 82nd minutes).
Following the victory, Brendan Rodgers’ side has now won four of the last five games and are through into the next round of the competition.
