No football without Africa — Oliseh

Former Super Eagles star Sunday Oliseh is convinced that African football has come of age, noting that Qatar World Cup is a perfect place for African to teams to prove their mettle.

Oliseh, who is part of FIFA Technical Experts for the World Cup in Qatar, said African and South American players have contributed to the development of the game all over the world.

“Without us (Africa) there is no football, football is an entertainment, yes, it’s a sport but it’s a huge business now.

“And again the diversity, the way football comes to African and South American, we are improving and it’s time we get our acts together,” He told Super sports.

Oliseh is the only African appointed into the FIFA Technical Experts for the World Cup.

The committee is headed by ex-Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with Jurgen Klinnsman, Alberto Zaccheroni, Cha Bum-kun, Faryd Mondragon and Andrés González Jaen Zubi are the other members.

“I’m feel very proud of the Group, and importantly that our continent isn’t left out and we have someone to represent us and to contribute to global development, because we are doing a lot of work for world at large,” He concluded.
