Ogunbote wants more players at Shooting Stars

Coach Gbenga Ogunbote admits his Shooting Stars side were not at their best during the first stanza of the 2022-2023 NPFL campaign.

The gaffer disclosed that the club must improve in all areas, including signing good players to beef up the squad.

Shooting Stars were tipped to be among the contenders for super six this season, following their fine run in the pre season.

The Oluyole Warriors however failed to hit greater height, picking just nine points from nine matches during the first part of its campaign.

The outing leaves them just above the relegation.

“We have to improve, and I understand the frustration of the fans.

“Maybe we should get one or two quality players to tighten up and enhance our performance,” Ogunbote told reporters.

“We are looking between three to five players to block the loopholes.”

Shooting Stars will restart their campaign against Akwa United, March 25.
