Ola Aina Stays at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Ola Aina will continue with the club for the next season, as they have activated a one-year extension in his contract.

Despite speculation linking the 27-year-old Nigerian international with potential moves to Everton and Crystal Palace, Aina will stay at the City Ground.

He initially joined Forest as a free agent last summer, with the club retaining the option to extend his contract.

Aina made 22 appearances for Forest in the 2023/24 season, playing a crucial role in helping the team avoid relegation despite a points deduction for financial rule breaches.

Ross Wilson, Forest’s Chief Football Officer, expressed his satisfaction with the decision: “Since Ola joined the club last summer, he has impressed all of us with his performances both on the pitch and also with the positive personality that he brings to the group every day. We are delighted that he will move forward with us.”

OIa Aina also shared his enthusiasm for staying with Forest: “I’ve been really happy with my time spent here at Forest and the fans have been great. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
