Nigerian Lille forward Victor Osimhen is of opinion that his side were punished for their mistakes after his Club lost to Marseille in French league outing on Sunday.

Osimhen was on target for his 18th goal of the season , but Marshall came back to win the game at the Stade Pierre Maupay to cut PSG lead on top of the table to ten points.

Speaking to the club’s media channel after the game , Osimhen said his side let themselves down by missing some details and Marseille took advantage of their mistakes.

“It’s devastating result, we were in control from the first half until we got the gaol, and then we missed some details.”

“And when you are playing against an organised team like Marseille, you don’t want to make such mistake and we were punished for that,” he said.

Lille remain fourth on the log with 40 points from 24 games and it’s becoming more difficult to reach next season UEFA Champions league.
