Superb Nnadozie sets incredible World Cup Record

Chiamaka Nnadozie proved the game changer for Nigeria as the Falcons picked their first win at the World Cup since 2011, but the goalie made some history of her own on Wednesday.

Called on from the bench after the team’s poor showing in the first game, Nnadozie commandeered the Falcons defense ensuring it was watertight.

She made crucial saves to frustrate the South Koreans in the make or mar encounter for Nigeria in their second Group A game.

The 18-year-old kept a clean sheet, becoming the youngest player to unlock that achievement in the Women’s World Cup.

But, her heroics didn’t win her the player of the match award, it went to Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala for powering Nigeria to a win with a goal that changed the complexion of the game with the match-winning goal in the 75th minute.
