We don’t need motivation from anyone to beat Cape Verde – Musa

Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa insists that the team will be going for maximum points against Cape Verde.

Nigeria and Cape Verde will battle it out for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers final phase tickets at the Teslim Balogun Stadium this Tuesday.

Nigeria is leading the Group with 12 pints and needs just a point to seal their passage, while the Cape Verdeans who are onn10 points needs outright victory to pick the scale through.

Speaking ahead of the game, Musa who is the most capped player in the history of Nigerian football, said they won’t be playing for a draw.

The Fatih Karagumruk man added that the players want to be at the World Cup and don’t need more motivation than that to win the game.

“The FIFA World Cup is the biggest stage for every professional football player. They all want to be there; you don’t need any more motivation than that,”Musa told a news conference at the team’s Eko Hotel and Suites base on Monday afternoon.

”We said after the match with Liberia in Tangier on Saturday that we will not be going for a draw against Cape Verde. Nothing has changed.” He said.
