Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has applauded the Icelandic players for their kind gesture towards Carl Ikeme who is down with acute leukemia.
Uzoho stated this in Thursday’s press conference ahead of Friday’s must-win game against Iceland.
After their impressive 1-1 draw against Argentina, the Icelandic squad posed for a picture with Ikeme’s former Wolverhampton Wanderers teammate Jon Dadi Bodvarsson holding a jersey with the Nigerian keeper’ s name on it.
“It’s a very nice gesture from the players.”
