Australian basketball star Liz Cambage has been accused of using using racial slur against Nigeria’s D’tigress players during Tokyo 2020 warm up scrimmage.

Jenna O’Hea, who captained Team Australia to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo made the disclosure while speaking on ABC Sport in Australia as the WNBA kicked off its season over the weekend.

O’Hea was asked by the presenters about the incident involving Cambage in the scrimmage against Nigeria and she confirmed the Los Angeles Sparks star told Nigerian players to “go back to your Third World country,” igniting a brawl.

“That is all one hundred percent correct,” O’Hea responded.

After the incident, Cambage who has a Nigerian father and Australian mother’s withdrew from the Olympics, citing mental health issues.

@ecambage lashing out at an opponent on the court is acceptable but telling Nigerian players to go back to YOUR THIRD WORLD COUNTRY is UNACCEPTABLE

She does not like Nigerians. Last time against us at @FIBAWWC, she was so mouthful & resentful because her dad abandoned the family

In her response, Cambage, denied O’Hea’s explosive allegations.

The truth will always come to light, and it ain’t even dawn yet,” Cambage tweeted.

In another development, Australia basketball legend Andrew Bogut, said that what Cambage told Nigerian players was actually worse.

“You’ve just got the PG version, there was much more than that — I’m just glad someone’s come out and said it,” Bogut told a radio station in Australia on Monday.
